Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated School Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care and support to elementary students for the upcoming school year. This full-time, contract role begins September 3, 2026 and continues through June 23, 2027, working Monday through Friday for 32.5 hours per week. As the primary healthcare professional in the elementary health room, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, healthy school environment. While you'll be the only nurse in the building, you'll have access to an advisory team for guidance and support when needed. Your compassion and expertise will make a real difference for students, families, and staff every day.

Qualifications:

Valid New Jersey RN or CSN license required Previous experience as a school nurse is strongly preferred Familiarity with Genesis charting system is highly desired Comfortable serving as the sole nurse in a school setting Exceptional communication, assessment, and organizational skills Commitment to providing high-quality, ethical care to children

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing services, including managing illness/injury, administering medication, and emergency care Maintain accurate health records and utilize the Genesis charting system efficiently Promote wellness and provide health education for students and staff Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student wellbeing Comply with all state, local, and district health policies and protocols This contract position offers a steady Monday-Friday schedule, with weekly pay at $30 per hour.
