Full Job Description Shift:

7pm-7am or 7am-7pm

Duration:

13 weeks plus Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to determine immediate needs. Administer emergency treatments such as IV infusions, medication administration, suturing, and airway management with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient care accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for diagnostic evaluations including laboratory tests, imaging procedures like CT scans or sonography, and trauma assessments. Provide critical care interventions for patients with acute pain, trauma injuries, infectious diseases, or requiring cardiac catheterization support. Engage in triage activities to prioritize patient flow effectively within the emergency setting while working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Support discharge planning by educating patients and families on post-care instructions, medication management, and follow-up appointments. Qualifications Valid RN license with current state registration and compliance with all licensing requirements. Proven experience in emergency medicine or trauma centers, including Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Emergency protocols, critical care procedures, and acute pain management techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform complex medical procedures including IV insertions, phlebotomy, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with a thorough understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to emergency care scenarios. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism and compassion. Additional experience in cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
