The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Summary Summary of Job Function Providing care pre intra and post procedures to the patient population. Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients; identifies a plan of care; implements and evaluates the care given, Provides direct and indirect care to patients and leads the patient care team toward goal achievement, Coordinates and directs care given by other team members, Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality and efficient care, Delegates appropriately to other team members, Excellent communication skills, leadership, ability, time management and problem solving skills required,
Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure Experience :
Required:
Current New Jersey RN license ASN or Nursing Diploma BLS, and ACLS from the American Heart Association Maintaining current status of competencies and mandatories Preferred Minimum 1- 2 years preferred in ER, ICU, Cath lab or Post Cath patient care
Scheduling Requirements :
Day Shift, 40 Hours per week On Call Required (response time to be in hospital within 30 minutes) Weekends and holidays
Essential Functions:
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available. The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors. The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served. The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. The Registered Nurse is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs.
