$2,100•$2,600 Weekly (based on experience and eligibility) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Mother Baby/Postpartum Unit, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to postpartum mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in maternal-child health and demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans while supporting patients and families during the postpartum recovery period. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns. Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Monitor maternal and newborn health status, identifying and responding to changes in condition. Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards. Educate patients and families regarding postpartum recovery, newborn care, feeding, safety, and discharge planning. Document patient care accurately and timely within the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Advocate for evidence-based practice and patient-centered care. Ensure compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements. Support a safe and positive environment for patients, families, and staff. Required Qualifications Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Licensure & Certifications Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License or Multistate Compact RN License required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required. Current ACLS Certification required. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification required. Experience Minimum three (3) years of recent Mother Baby/Postpartum nursing experience required. Five (5) or more years of Mother Baby experience preferred. Experience in Labor & Delivery required. Experience with Postpartum and Antepartum patient populations required. Operating Room (OR) experience within women's services preferred or required based on department needs. Strong newborn care experience required. Skills & Competencies Comprehensive knowledge of postpartum and newborn nursing care. Strong maternal-child assessment and clinical decision-making skills. Ability to recognize and respond to maternal and neonatal complications. Excellent patient education and family-centered care skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and quality patient outcomes. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. Strong organizational and documentation skills.
