1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a hospital in Summit, NJ, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and an active NJ RN license. Details Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting 12.5-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 3 days per week (37.5 hours/week) Surgical patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups No on-call requirements May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Active NJ RN license (Standard or Compact) required Current BLS certification required CNOR certification preferred Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred Epic EMR experience strongly preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position Additional Information Delivers individualized perioperative patient care, including pre-operative and post-operative assessment and education Supports Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders for appropriateness based on proposed surgery, patient age, and health status Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification Two professional references required for consideration Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a break is required before returning to a new assignment
