Admissions Director or Administrator Position Summary The Admissions Intake Specialist supports the admissions department in coordinating new resident admissions, maintaining communication with hospitals and families, completing administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth transition for incoming residents. This role requires excellent customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with the admission and intake process for new residents. Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding admissions, services, and facility information. Coordinate communication between, marketing director, hospitals, families, physicians, and facility departments. Prepare admission paperwork and ensure all required documents are completed accurately. Verify insurance information and assist with obtaining necessary authorizations. Schedule tours for prospective residents and families. Maintain accurate admission records and daily census information. Assist with resident room readiness prior to admission. Support marketing and community outreach efforts as needed. Follow all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines. Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, referral sources, and staff. Perform other administrative duties assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Previous healthcare, admissions, customer service, or administrative experience preferred. Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic medical record systems and Point Click Care. Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
