MDS Nurse

Job Summary:

Casa Arena Healthcare is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MDS Nurse (RN or LPN) to coordinate and manage the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process in accordance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, PDPM, care planning, and regulatory compliance within a skilled nursing environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and complete MDS assessments accurately and within required timeframes. Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, RAI guidelines, and facility policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update resident care plans. Monitor Medicare and PDPM documentation to support appropriate reimbursement. Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance initiatives. Educate nursing staff regarding documentation requirements and MDS processes. Qualifications Current New Mexico RN or LPN license in good standing. Previous MDS experience preferred. Knowledge of PDPM, Medicare regulations, and long-term care reimbursement. Strong assessment, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred. $43.00 - $50.00 per hour
