Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel Step into a dynamic surgical environment as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This position offers the chance to work collaboratively with a skilled surgical team, supporting procedures that directly impact patient outcomes. You'll play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and smooth workflow throughout the perioperative process.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract position Schedule may include days, evenings, or rotating shifts, with opportunity for overtime as needed
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted RN license Minimum of 1 year of recent operating room nursing experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Proven knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and safety protocols Strong communication and team collaboration abilities Experience with surgical instrumentation and aseptic technique
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, compassionate care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and verify surgical consent Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies Assist the surgical team with procedures, ensuring sterile field integrity at all times Monitor patient condition and vital signs, responding promptly to any changes Accurately document patient care, medications, and interventions Uphold infection control policies and maintain a clean, organized OR environment Communicate proactively with physicians, surgical staff, and patient families
