Location:
Cuba, NM, 87013-0299 Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state or jurisdiction. Proven experience in dialysis nursing or related nephrology care preferred; certification in nephrology nursing (CNN) is a plus. Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures, vascular access management, and related medical terminology. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Experience working with complex patient populations including those with chronic illnesses or developmental disabilities. Proficiency in infection control practices, aseptic technique, and laboratory specimen collection. Ability to perform venipuncture, IV insertion, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS). Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Duties Administer dialysis treatments using various modalities such as hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, adhering to established protocols and safety standards. Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to treatment, including vital signs, laboratory results, and overall health status. Monitor patients throughout dialysis sessions for adverse reactions or complications, responding promptly and effectively. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, post-treatment care, and lifestyle modifications to promote health and compliance. CA02
