Minimum of two years of recent OR nursing experience in hospital environments; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms. Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterile processing, and surgical instrumentation. Experience with complex procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, or endoscopic surgeries is advantageous. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards. Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical settings including outpatient surgery centers, emergency rooms, ICU units, or specialty clinics such as ophthalmology or geriatrics. Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize signs of acute pain or deterioration promptly. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and patient education.
