Director of Nursing (RN) - Home Health | Immediate Hire | Full-Time | Las Cruces, NM | $120,000 - $130,000 Base + Performance Bonuses A growing Medicare-certified home health agency in Las Cruces is seeking an experienced and highly organized Registered Nurse Director of Nursing (DON) for immediate hire. This is a leadership role for an RN who can successfully manage clinical operations, support staff development, maintain compliance standards, and help stabilize and grow a busy home health program serving approximately 200 patients. We are seeking a strong operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands both the clinical and business side of home health. Compensation & Bonus Structure Base Salary $120,000 - $130,000 annually depending on experience Performance Bonus Opportunities Retention Bonus $1,500 after 6 months Additional $1,500 after 12 months Quarterly Performance Bonuses Potential additional earnings tied to: Census growth Staff retention Survey readiness OASIS/documentation compliance Hospitalization reduction Clinical quality metrics Total bonus potential: $10,000 annually Responsibilities Oversee daily clinical operations of the home health agency Supervise and mentor clinical staff including RNs, LVNs, therapists, and aides Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and state regulations Review and maintain OASIS accuracy and documentation quality Participate in QA/PI and performance improvement initiatives Coordinate with physicians, referral sources, and interdisciplinary teams Assist with recruitment, retention, and staff development Support survey readiness and policy compliance Participate in on-call clinical leadership rotation as needed Qualifications Current RN license in New Mexico (Required) Minimum 3 years of home health experience (Required) Prior leadership or supervisory experience (Required) Strong knowledge of Medicare home health regulations and OASIS (Required) Excellent organizational and communication skills (Required) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Home Health Director of Nursing experience (Required) Medicare-certified agency experience (Required) Experience managing clinical teams and operational workflows (Strongly Prefered) Experience improving census growth and staff retention Benefits Competitive salary Performance bonus program Use of Company Car (as available).
