Department/Unit Summary Join our team in a 26-bed Medical Surgical unit, located on the 6th floor, where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. With a 1:6 nurse to patient ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care. How you'll contribute Delivers comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment plans, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patient conditions. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and support services. Educates patients and families based on individual needs, advocates for patient rights and well-being, and addresses concerns promptly to ensure high-quality service. Demonstrates leadership in supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining effective communication across departments. Maintains accurate documentation, upholds ethical standards, and adapts to changing workloads while supporting new team members and utilizing current technology in care delivery.   • Professional development and growth opportunities Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
Additional requirements include:
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required.
  • CEN preferred
  • Experience in acute care facility preferred.
  • ER experience required.
