2 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Rio Rancho, NM, requiring at least 2 years of large OR experience and prior travel assignment completion. Details Work setting is an acute care hospital Operating Room (OR) 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours per week Minimum 2 years of current experience in a large OR required Scrubbing is required for this role Epic EMR used; experience preferred but on-site training available Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular surgery experience is a plus Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required ADN or ASN degree required BLS certification required; must be obtained through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross ACLS and PALS preferred; if obtained, must be from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a large OR setting required Ability to scrub required Must have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care Coordinates care through collaboration with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team Assumes clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as needed Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible Former permanent staff of this health system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler First-time travelers are not eligible for this position; at least one completed 13-week travel assignment is required
