Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As an RN, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires a thorough understanding of nursing practices and the ability to work effectively in various healthcare settings. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across various departments. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and phlebotomy as needed. Assist in emergency situations by utilizing critical care skills and knowledge of acute pain management. Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning to home care or other facilities. Stay current with best practices in nursing by engaging in ongoing education and training. Skills Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills: Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Experience in critical care transport, ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma medicine. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding for accurate medical documentation. Ability to provide specialized care in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, and long-term care. Skills in performing advanced procedures including dialysis, ventilator management, tube feeding, ostomy care, and specimen collection/processing. Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Commitment to infection control practices and quality assurance measures within the healthcare setting.
