Job Description

Operating Room RN Open for
Locals and Travelers Location:
Shiprock, NM 87420
Shift:
Monday Friday:
7:00/7:30 AM 3:30/4:00 PM On-call, call-back, weekends, and holidays as assigned Must be able to respond within 15 minutes when on call
Contract Length:
6 months with the option to extend

Pending Award and Completion of Credentialing Process Compensation:
Regular Pay Rate:
$55 per hour Travel weekly stipends: $1,246 (If applicable) Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.

PTO:
5 days after 6 months, an additional 5 days at 1 year of service Accrued sick days: 1 hour for every 36 hours worked 11

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will support a variety of surgical specialties while ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and collaborating with the surgical team to deliver exceptional care.
Requirements:
Minimum of 24 months of RN experience, including at least 2 years of Operating Room experience Current, active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) Fitness-for-duty clearance Strong English communication skills and cultural sensitivity Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:
Provide perioperative nursing care, including circulating duties for scheduled and emergency procedures Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with surgical safety protocols Assist with patient preparation, intraoperative documentation, specimen handling, and instrument counts Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient patient care Support multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, OB/GYN, endoscopy, dental, podiatry, and pediatric cases Float to other departments as needed to support patient care Maintain accurate documentation and comply with IHS policies, HIPAA, and nursing standards Expected hours: 40 per week
