Job Description
Description The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable to a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to the patients via therapeutic use of the nursing process, in collaboration and integration with other health care team members. S/he demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care relevant to the patient(s) under his/her care, applying principles of growth and development over the life span. S/he assesses and interprets patient data needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. Additionally, the RN may be floated to other hospital areas as a resource, as directed by hospital leadership or the House Supervisor. When floated, they are expected to follow the guidance of the Charge Nurse or RN in the assigned department and maintain the same high standards of care and safety within their scope of practice. The Registered Nurse will be required to train, educate, supervise and evaluate students from outside entities or organizations with whom GRMC has an established Affiliation Agreement. Requirements- Current New Mexico or Multi-State Licensure
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA) within 6 months from hire date
- PALS (AHA) within 6 months from hire date
- One year nursing experience preferred.
