Taos County and surrounding regions (~30 miles preferred)Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am•5:00 pm (with potential on-call duties as needed) About the Role Are you a compassionate healthcare professional seeking a flexible, rewarding position? We are looking for dependable Respiratory Therapists (RRT/CRT/RT) or Registered Nurses (RN) who thrive in an independent, field-based environment. In this PRN role, you'll provide in-home respiratory and medical equipment support to patients in Taos and surrounding communities, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care with comfort and safety. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive in-home assessments to evaluate patient needs related to respiratory therapy and equipment usage. Set up, calibrate, and instruct patients and caregivers on the safe operation and maintenance of PAP, oxygen, and other respiratory devices. Perform routine cleaning, testing, and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Educate patients and caregivers on proper device use, maintenance, and safety protocols. Monitor equipment performance, adherence, and patient comfort during visits. Communicate clinical findings, patient concerns, and recommendations to the healthcare team effectively. Accurately document all services and patient interactions in accordance with healthcare standards and policies. Provide on-call support for NIV patients, responding promptly to urgent needs and ensuring continuous therapy. Complete required online training modules and maintain professional competencies. Active New Mexico licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT/RT) or Registered Nurse (RN). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or GED; additional clinical education or licensure as outlined above. Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and travel locally.Preferred:
Experience in home respiratory care or HME/DME. Completion of an accredited respiratory care program or degree in respiratory therapy or related science. At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience. Familiarity with oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and NIV workflows.Physical & Safety Requirements:
Occasional lifting and transport of equipment. Frequent standing, walking, and driving to patient locations. Ability to read device screens and documentation accurately. Potential exposure to contagious pathogens; commitment to infection control and respiratory protection protocols, including N95 fit testing and medical evaluations. Why Choose Us?
