Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel A travel Registered Nurse with experience in the Operating Room is needed to support a major healthcare provider in Northern New Mexico. The facility is a 47-bed acute care center staffed by approximately 300 healthcare professionals. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-established medical center serving the local community.
Location:
Position is based in White Rock, NM, within commuting distance of the healthcare facility. Candidates must be located 60 miles or more away to qualify for this travel assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room environment Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and high-quality care Maintain sterile fields and follow all infection control protocols Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures Document patient care accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations Comply with facility and state nursing standards and policies
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
Current and valid RN license with Operating Room nursing experience Required certifications must be submitted with application; certifications are not available onsite. Must meet New Mexico state requirements, including completion of fingerprinting and background checks prior to hire Ability to work within a diverse team in a fast-paced acute care setting Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Additional Information:
Orientation is held weekly on Mondays All clinical staff must follow New Mexico's Department of Health fingerprint and background check regulations; a 14-day supervised waiver period is available pending results.
