We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Comprehensive Digestive Surgical Center which is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare. •This position will cover Saturdays. Job Summary and Qualifications Join our team as a Preoperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. What you will do in this role: You will cover Saturdays Prepare your patients' care area adequately before case Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients' procedure Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients' history and diagnostic tests Review your patients' charts for completeness prior to surgery Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR Qualifications you will need: Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery Active RN license as required by state of employment BCLS Certification upon employment. •online certification not acceptable ACLS required within 30-days of hire PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire Benefits Comprehensive Digestive Surgical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
