CRITICAL CARE DIFFERENTIAL
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to acutely and critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly technical setting requiring continuous monitoring, advanced therapies, and complex medication protocols. The ICU RN will deliver direct and individualized nursing care using evidence-based nursing practices and clinical judgment to support patients facing life-threatening conditions.
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans Monitor critically ill patients and respond rapidly to changes in condition Administer medications, therapies, and invasive procedures safely and accurately Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care Operate and monitor specialized ICU equipment Maintain accurate and timely documentation Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety practices Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes Qualifications•Education & Experience•Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Minimum of one (1) year current critical care experience required Minimum of two (2) years of recent ICU RN experience (within the last 3 years) in a similar facility preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing BLS and ACLS certifications required at hire TNCC and ABLS certifications required within 12 months of hire Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of critical care nursing practices and disease processes Experience with invasive nursing procedures and ICU monitoring equipment Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations Excellent communication and teamwork skills Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare software systems Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
