1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CST)
  • First Assist for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital CVOR setting, with required vein harvesting capabilities and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
Details Work in a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) department within a hospital setting 3-bed CVOR unit with a staff of 15 1:1 patient ratio Procedures include CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR standby, laser lead standby, thoracic robotic-assisted, and general emergent open-heart procedures Specialized equipment includes CVOR open-heart equipment and the Maquet Hemopro 2 vein harvesting system No EMR system in use for this unit Day shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM On-call required after hours and on rotating weekends Floating to the Main OR required Requirements Active NV state license or eligibility required Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required Active experience within the last 6 months in the role required Vein harvesting competency required, including independent proficiency with the Maquet Hemopro 2 system US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required Additional Information Responsibilities include first-assist duties during cardiovascular surgical procedures including open-heart cases Hospital-provided scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
