Job Description

Overview Vegas Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking perdiem Pre-OP/ PACU/ OR circulating RNs. Motivated and responsible New grades are welcome to apply. The shifts are early on Friday or Sat or Sunday morning between 5am -12pm. The nurse staff member will assess patients, plan for and prepare procedure room for endoscopy/colonoscopy cases, provide direct patient care while working alongside our providers and GI techs to create a safe and sanitary environment for our patients. RN will document all care in Eclinical work EMR and communicate patient status to providers and other members of the surgery center team. Will share expertise and contribute to QI committee.

Ambulatory surgery center Outpatient PACU Duties Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition pre, intra and post-procedure. Administer medications and manage pain effectively, including experience with pain management techniques. Provide care for patients requiring specialized attention, including those with ostomy needs or memory care considerations. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transitions from the procedure room to recovery. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and discharge plans. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice. Previous experience in a PACU or similar acute care setting is preferred. Experience administering injections and medication administration protocols is essential.
