Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Field Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities and home health environments. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work independently while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine health needs and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including performing procedures such as spinal taps, dialysis, and gastric lavage. Provide wound care and assist with daily living activities for patients in assisted living environments. Perform phlebotomy to collect blood samples for laboratory testing. Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of patient records. Implement airway management techniques when necessary to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress notes. Skills Proficiency in performing spinal taps, dialysis, phlebotomy, and gastric lavage procedures. Strong knowledge of anatomy and familiarity with ICD-10 coding for effective documentation. Experience in assisted living or home health settings is preferred. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed. Competence in airway management techniques to handle emergencies effectively. Knowledge of sonography is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients' needs efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
