Position Overview:

MVHS Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse

• Medical / Surgical to provide high-quality nursing care to adult post-surgical patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.

The RN will perform patient assessments, medication administration, post-operative care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to adult Medical/Surgical patients Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions Deliver post-operative nursing care for surgical patients Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders Monitor specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate care Maintain accurate documentation using

EPIC EMR

Float to other units based on staffing needs Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge planning Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Strong acute care and post-surgical experience required Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment required Excellent communication and critical thinking skills required Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required BSN preferred Active New York State RN License required Current AHA BLS Certification required Active RN license verification through NURSYS required For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
