1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift position at a large academic medical center in Albany, NY, requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience. Details Med/Surg Float Pool position within a 600+ bed academic teaching hospital Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required No blocked scheduling permitted Requirements Active NY State RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS and/or relevant certifications required — must be issued by AHA or RQI Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required Candidates with less than 2 years of experience must pass a Med/Surg competency test (2 attempts allowed) 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital accepted with a passing competency test score Epic EMR experience required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered US Social Security Number required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations are not accepted Additional Information 13-week contract Local candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington Navy blue scrubs are required Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration More than 3 call-outs during the contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
