OLV Human Services operates a total of 8 IRAs (Individualized Residential Alternative) across Western New York. The 8 IRAs create 2 different departments: Northtowns (Amherst x2 houses, Buffalo, Tonawanda, Cheektowaga) & Southtowns (Lackawanna x3 houses). OLVHS is looking for an RN in the Northtowns sites!Hourly Rate:

The ClinicalRN- OPWDD
acts as a case manager and is an integral part of the treatment team who monitors and coordinates the delivery of healthcare services for individuals who are living in community based homes. Responsible for health survey preparedness. Maintains appropriate interaction and communication with pharmacies, hospitals and medical providers.Essential Job Duties:
1. Coordinating all medical care for individuals. 2. Conduct medical assessment of individuals. 3. Decide interventions following the nursing process. 4. Provide education on medical issues and concerns to individuals, their families and employees as indicated on their plan of care and diagnosis. 5. Monitor the medical states of the individuals of their care and adjust as appropriate. 6. Perform any other duties listed on the daily/weekly/monthly/semi-annually/annually site specific responsibility checklist by the supervisor. 7. Management and follow through of cases as designated by their program. 8. The track, teach and ensure that OPWDD staff has medical certification. 9. Assisting and educating the implementation of medical health care. 10. Maintain health and safety of living environments. 11. Provide on call coverage on scheduled rotations. 12. Any other duty as requested by your supervisor.Skills:

Professional Minimum Education Requirement:
AAS /BSN
Degree from an accredited Nursing schoolExperience Required:
Customer service experience is required Previous experience with developmentally disabled individuals is preferredRequired License/Registration/ Certification:
NYS RN Licensure CPR Certification (this may be obtained through OLV Human Services Training)Training:

Strength:
Sufficient to assist with lifting and transferring a patient, and perform CPR.Mobility:
Sufficient mobility to bend, stoop, and bend down to the floor; ability to move around rapidly; and to move in small, confined areas.Hearing:
Sufficient to hear through the stethoscope to discriminate sounds; to hear cries for help; to hear alarms on equipment and emergency signals; and various overhead pages.Vision:
