This position focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 care to a Kindergarten student with diabetes during the Summer Special Education Program, followed by the opportunity to continue through the next academic year. This role begins July 6th and ends August 14th, with summer hours from Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 11:30am. If it's a great match, you can look forward to returning for the 2026-2027 school year, September 8th to June 24th, with weekday hours from 9:15am to 3:45pm. Located near Cicero, NY, the position offers hourly pay between $40 and $50 an hour, depending on experience. What you'll do: Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a Kindergarten student with diabetes during the school day Monitor glucose levels, administer insulin as prescribed, and respond to medical needs as they arise Communicate health-related information to staff and family Maintain accurate and confidential student health records Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and health professionals to support the student's educational experience What you'll need: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York Experience as an RN in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred Knowledge of diabetes management and care plans for young children Ability to interact with care, patience, and professionalism Excellent communication and recordkeeping skills This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a consistent daytime schedule throughout the summer and school year.
