Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Per Diem Registered Nurse, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse clinical settings. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in various departments, including critical care, emergency medicine, medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, and post-acute care facilities. As a vital member of our healthcare community, you will deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing services that promote healing and well-being. Responsibilities Visit patient's home twice daily (morning and evening) Check and document oxygen saturation levels and vital signs as needed Monitor patient's respiratory status and overall condition Communicate any concerns or changes in condition to the care team/family Maintain accurate nursing notes/documentation Schedule 2 visits per day only Morning visit Evening visit Per diem / flexible arrangement Requirements Active RN license in New York State Home care experience preferred but not required Strong communication and assessment skills Reliable transportation Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor Compensation Competitive per-visit rate: $125 per visit Skills Proven critical care experience with a strong background in ICU, emergency room, or trauma center environments. Knowledge of Level I and Level II trauma center operations, including emergency medicine procedures and infectious disease management. Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology application. Experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics (PICU), geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or those requiring post-acute or outpatient care. Ability to navigate hospital records systems efficiently while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Strong discharge planning skills combined with case management expertise to facilitate seamless patient transitions. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing exceptional patient service.
