As an RN in this position, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing services in diverse settings, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while enjoying a supportive and fast-paced workplace. Whether you're experienced in critical care, emergency medicine, or long-term care, this role is designed to leverage your skills and passion for healthcare excellence. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physiological evaluations across various units including ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical, pediatrics, geriatrics, and behavioral health. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Manage airway support with ventilator care and perform advanced procedures such as suturing, tube feeding management, and wound care. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and basic lab testing; interpret results for clinical decision-making. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, trauma medicine protocols, and pain management strategies. Engage in patient education on health coaching topics such as medication administration, nutrition, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or working with individuals with disabilities. Support emergency response efforts by participating in triage assessments and critical care transport when necessary. Maintain sterile processing standards during procedures like ostomy care or esthetic laser treatments; ensure infection control practices are followed meticulously. Experience Proven experience in acute care environments such as ICU (Level I & II Trauma Centers), emergency rooms (ER), or hospital medicine units. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is preferred. Background in specialized areas such as cardiac catheterization, dialysis nursing, neonatal or pediatric intensive care (PICU), or post-acute care settings like hospice & palliative medicine or long-term assisted living facilities. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics in memory care or behavioral health settings; working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Skilled in performing complex procedures such as spinal taps, gastric lavage, sonography support, or sterile processing when applicable. Knowledge of OSHA standards for infection control and aseptic techniques; familiarity with medical imaging and laboratory procedures enhances your versatility. Strong understanding of medical terminology along with the ability to conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments across inpatient and outpatient environments.
