Standard Shift Role & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment. Conduct nursing assessments and evaluate resident conditions. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Document assessments, care provided, and resident outcomes in Point Click Care. • Supervise and direct Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs). Coordinate resident care activities and ensure compliance with nursing standards. Serve as a clinical leader responsible for unit operations and patient care oversight. Monitor resident status and communicate significant changes to physicians and facility leadership. Ensure compliance with NYSDOH regulations, facility policies, and best nursing practices. Assist with staffing oversight, resident care coordination, and clinical decision-making. Monitor CNA assignments, breaks, and workflow as directed. Perform CNA-level duties during staffing emergencies as directed by facility leadership. Complete facility orientation and competency requirements. Documents Required Active RN License. BLS/CPR.
