Endoscopy / Ambulatory Nurse Educator RN

Far Rockaway, NY $96.67 per hour | Full Time | Temporary Assignment Custom Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Educator with Endoscopy and Ambulatory experience to support a hospital-based procedural unit in Far Rockaway, NY . This temporary role will support a new Endoscopy unit two days per week and provide education coverage at the main hospital three days per week . The educator will work closely with nursing leadership to support staff training, competency validation, and procedural education. This role is ideal for an experienced procedural RN with strong education, training, or preceptor experience . Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 37.5 hours per week Flexibility is required for this role. Start times may vary depending on the needs of the unit. Pay Rate $96.67 per hour Start Date ASAP Responsibilities Provide clinical education and training to nursing staff within Endoscopy and Ambulatory departments Assist with orientation and onboarding of newly hired nurses and clinical staff Develop and implement education plans, competency checklists, and training materials Conduct skills validation and competency assessments for clinical staff Provide hands-on clinical instruction and mentoring for procedural nursing practices Educate staff on infection control standards, sterile technique, and endoscope reprocessing guidelines Ensure staff compliance with clinical policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices Support the implementation of new equipment, procedures, and clinical protocols Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify education needs and staff development opportunities Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education programs Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams Requirements Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License Minimum 3-5 years of Endoscopy or procedural nursing experience Experience working in ambulatory surgery, procedural, or endoscopy environments Previous education, staff development, or preceptor experience preferred Strong knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and endoscope reprocessing standards BLS certification required (American Heart Association) ACLS preferred Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills Education Master's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related field About Custom Healthcare Solutions Custom Healthcare Solutions partners with healthcare organizations nationwide to provide experienced healthcare professionals across a variety of specialties.
