Job Description

Job Summary:
In accordance with the organization's mission, vision and values, the RN is responsible for supporting the LPN's with the general medical administrative & programmatic oversight of all clients as it relates to medical compliance.
The following duties will apply:
Duties Assures that all clients' medical files are in compliance with Agency and regulatory policies, practices and procedures, by reviewing all recovery care plans and ensures that documentation is complete. Provide direction, supervision and assistance to LPN's and program staff where there are medical concerns; including on call support where necessary. Responds appropriately to crisis and emergency situations in order to ensure/secure the health and safety of the clients. Adheres to regulatory guidelines and follows-up by appropriate communication and documentation. Participate in general, staff, in-service and supervisory meetings held by the Agency. Leads and participates in Tuberculin testing clinic for the Agency on an annual basis, coordinated by the HR Coordinator. Conducts other related Agency training as directed and within area of expertise. Perform other duties and functions as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current NYS RN. Valid NYS Drivers' License. Behavioral health background preferred. Other Skills/Knowledge and Experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse persons, staff and community service providers. Working knowledge of behavioral health. Ability to multi-task, have good problem solving & time management skills. Recognition and understanding of the scope of practice according to the Nurse Practice Act. E-Record.
