Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and recovery. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform personalized care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately while following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Manage complex clinical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and ventilator management with precision and confidence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and case management across various specialties including cardiology, ophthalmology, trauma medicine, and behavioral health. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document medical records meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and diagnostic imaging support including sonography or mammography when applicable. Provide education and health coaching to patients and their families about disease management, medication administration, nutrition, and post-discharge care. Respond swiftly in emergency situations such as trauma incidents or acute pain episodes within Level I trauma centers or emergency rooms to deliver critical interventions. Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions. Support patients with complex needs including those with developmental disabilities, dementia or memory care requirements, hospice & palliative medicine needs, or long-term care in assisted living or nursing home environments. Qualifications Valid RN license in good standing with the appropriate state licensing board. Proven experience in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, ICU/CCU (Critical Care Unit), emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation and patient tracking. Demonstrated proficiency in advanced nursing skills including IV insertion, medication administration, tube feeding management, and aseptic technique. Experience working with specialized populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (including MDS assessments), behavioral health patients, or individuals with disabilities. Critical care experience preferred—especially ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure—along with knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate documentation. Strong understanding of physiology principles and diagnostic evaluation techniques to support comprehensive patient assessments. Excellent communication skills for effective triage, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or hospital emergency departments while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.
