Position Overview:
Registered Nurse (RN)Department:
Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa Reports To:
Medical Director The Registered Nurse (RN) plays an integral role in both the surgical and wellness operations at Blaine Plastic Surgery and Operation Beauty. This hybrid position includes responsibilities in the Operating Room (OR) as well as the clinical and med spa setting. The RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care during all perioperative phases, and supports wellness programs including IV therapy, hormone replacement, and medical weight loss.Key Responsibilities:
Operating Room / Perioperative Care Circulate and recover patients during surgical procedures, serving as their intraoperative advocate. Review pre-operative documentation and clearances; follow up on missing or incomplete information prior to surgery. Conduct pre-operative patient calls, provide instructions, and offer reassurance to patients. Prepare and assist in the operating room, ensuring aseptic technique, proper equipment setup, and safe patient positioning. Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers, anticipating needs and ensuring timely response during procedures. Assist with OR inventory management, room prep, sterile processing, and crash cart checks. Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety in the surgical environment. Monitor patient comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout the surgical experience. Dictate or assist with operative reports, ensuring accurate documentation and EMR compliance. Maintain QUAD A accreditation standards, including infection control, equipment maintenance, emergency preparedness, and quality improvement initiatives. Medical Spa & Wellness Care Conduct and support hormone replacement therapy consultations, pellet insertions, and follow-up care. Perform medical weight loss consultations and monitor patient progress. Administer IV vitamin therapy and observe patient response. Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current New York State RN license required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. 1+ years of ICU or PCU experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to respond calmly and competently in urgent or emergency situations. Must be physically capable of standing for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Job Type Full-time (Minimum 30 hours/week; 4-day workweek)Pay Range:
