In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive pediatric care, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and health education for children across various age groups. Your expertise will help ensure our young patients receive exceptional, family-centered care in a supportive environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's health and well-being through clinical excellence and collaborative teamwork. Must be able to speak Spanish fluently Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients, including infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical evaluations and diagnostic results. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following proper protocols and safety standards. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, spinal taps, sonography, and dermal filler treatments when appropriate. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to manage acute and chronic conditions, including critical care cases in hospital or ICU settings. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters. Provide health education to families on topics such as nutrition, developmental milestones, immunizations, and disease prevention. Assist with triage in urgent care or emergency room environments to prioritize patient needs efficiently. Support clinical research initiatives aimed at advancing pediatric healthcare practices. Participate in discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes. Skills Proven experience working with children in diverse settings such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic and Athenahealth for documentation and patient management. Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and sterile processing techniques. Knowledge of pediatric physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation methods, and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and billing practices related to pediatrics. Experience managing acute pain cases, infectious diseases, behavioral health issues, and complex chronic conditions such as Geriatrics or Memory Care when applicable. Ability to perform physical examinations accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children's families and collaborating with healthcare teams effectively. Capable of handling emergency situations including airway management, ventilator support, or trauma response within Level I or Level II trauma center environments if applicable.
