Job Description

Required Education:
High School or equivalent
Required Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Proficiency in Office Suite software packages
  • Ability to follow operating instructions accurately
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools within a reasonable time
  • Attention to detail for proofreading and correcting documents
Preferred Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Abilities:
  • Ability to develop graphs, spreadsheets, charts, and web pages
  • Familiarity with word processing and computer-based document preparation beyond basic use The Computer Operator in the Nursing Department is responsible for operating and managing computer and peripheral electronic data processing equipment to process various types of data, including business, scientific, and engineering information.
The role involves following instructions to produce final copy materials using word processing and computer systems.
Job Duties:
  • Monitor and operate computer and peripheral electronic data processing equipment
  • Process data according to established operating instructions
  • Follow instructions to develop final copy materials using word processing/computer equipment
  • Proofread documents and correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting
  • Develop graphs, spreadsheets, charts, and web pages as required
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of prepared documents
