Key Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted RN license required Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric care is preferred Knowledge and confidence in diabetes management, including blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and responding to emergencies Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff Exceptional organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized, skilled nursing care to a kindergarten student with diabetes during the school day Monitor health status and administer diabetes management protocols as needed Collaborate with educators, school administrators, and parents to create a safe learning environment Maintain accurate health records and document interventions in accordance with school requirements Educate school staff as appropriate on student's care plan and support emergency preparedness Contribute to the student's independence and participation in daily classroom activities
