Job Description
Position Overview The role centers on providing compassionate, high‑quality hospice nursing care to patients in their homes or facilities. This contract is ideal for an RN who is confident in end‑of‑life care, comfortable with autonomy, and skilled in supporting patients and families through complex emotional and clinical needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive hospice nursing care, including assessments, symptom management, and care planning Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members (social workers, chaplains, aides, physicians) Educate patients and families on disease progression, comfort measures, and available resources Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Participate in case conferences and care‑planning meetings Provide on‑call support if required (specify if applicable) Required Qualifications Active RN license in the state of practice Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience (more preferred) Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills Ability to work independently in the field Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Hourly plus Mileage at .72 per mile
