MSK:
Join our team as a Clinical Nurse at our M2 PACU unit. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase compassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make a significant impact in our PACU department.
Role Overview:
Work reciprocally with other members of the perioperative team Implement the nursing process for surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in an acute and critical 24-hour setting Safely recover post-operative patients of varying ages emerging from anesthesia Actively participate in multidisciplinary collaboration to provide high-quality, evidence-based, and safe patient care Assure completion of required diagnostic and evaluative tests, providing related patient education and post-operative clinical assessments Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including medication usage and wound care prior to discharge
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct frequent assessments and titration of vasoactive, cardiac, and sedation infusions; monitor ventilated patients and initiate weaning protocols Provide care and maintenance of invasive hemodynamic lines, including central venous and arterial catheters Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition with strong clinical judgment in a high-acuity environment
Key Qualifications:
NYS RN license, BSN BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred Minimum of 1.5+ years of related clinical experience in acute care Critical care experience and related certification highly preferred

Schedule:
12-hours shift flexed from 8am to mid-night Monday through Saturday with weekend rotation required. This position requires a 13-shift schedule per month. Reports to: Nurse Leader
