About Us:
Situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, our office-based surgery center boasts two state-of-the-art fully-accredited operating rooms. Specializing in aesthetic and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures, we prioritize patient care and safety above all else. We value reliability, competence, and collaborative teamwork in order to provide exceptional surgical experiences. We are conveniently located just a few blocks away from Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, and Times Square—making it easily reachable by major public transportation.Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse to join our team on a per diem basis. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures—ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.Responsibilities:
Assess patients' preoperative status and ensure appropriate preparation for surgery. Coordinate and manage all aspects of the operating room, including equipment and supplies. Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout the surgical procedure. Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, prepping, and draping. Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as needed. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during the perioperative period. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and continuity.Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York required. Minimum of 5 years of prior experience as an Operating Room Nurse Circulator, preferably in an aesthetic plastic surgery setting. BLS and ACLS certification required. Demonstrated knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment. Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
