ASC Registered Nurse New York Spine and Wellness Center - 3.1 North Syracuse, NY Job Details Full-time $33 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications RN License Full Job Description New York Spine and Wellness is looking for full-time RNs to join our Heritage One Day Ambulatory Surgery Center! You'll be cross trained in the OR, Pre-Op and Post recovery. Monday-Friday with rotating shifts - 6:45am-3:15pm to 8am-4:30pm. No weekends, on-call or holidays!
Pre-Operative Support:
Perform pre-operative patient assessments, including medical history, medication reconciliation, and surgical readiness Prepare patients for surgery, including IV initiation, pre-op medications, patient education, and verification of surgical consents Collaborate with surgeons and perioperative staff to ensure efficient case flow Intra-Operative Support Assist with room turnover and case preparation in accordance with sterile technique and infection-prevention standards Support surgical teams as needed to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency Adhere to time-out procedures and Universal Protocol standards Post-Operative Support Monitor patients during recovery from anesthesia or moderate sedation, assessing vital signs, pain levels, neurovascular status, and surgical sites Administer medications and interventions per orders and ASC protocols Recognize and respond promptly to post-operative complications or changes in patient condition Provide discharge education and instructions to patients and caregivers Documentation & Compliance Accurately document all patient care, assessments, medications, and interventions in the EHR Ensure compliance with ASC policies, CMS Conditions for Coverage, AAAHC/Joint Commission standards, and state regulations Participate in chart audits, quality reviews, and regulatory surveys Quality, Safety & Teamwork Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection-control practices, and performance metrics Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and administrative staff Qualifications Current unrestricted NYS RN license; CPR/BLS Certification required; Minimum one year experience with acute, medical surgical experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply! Ability to effectively communicate with providers, patients and peers; Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Specialized knowledge, skill and abilities in perioperative nursing #evolve Expected hours: 40 per week
