Job Description

RN01 Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN ensures compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and other relevant guidelines. The RN fosters a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Job Responsibilities Manage and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse. Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management. Administer medications safely according to policy. Ensure effective resource utilization, including staffing and supplies. Participate in Nursing Shared Governance and improvement initiatives. Engage in professional development and mandatory education. Integrate nursing research and current evidence into practice. Support new employees and students in a learning environment. Perform duties related to Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator roles when assigned.
Skills & Experience Required:
Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, Organizational Understanding, Planning, Problem Solving, Quality, Reliability, Safety and Risk Management.
Preferred:
Experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
Schedule & Certifications Schedule:
12hr shifts, 7am - 7pm, 36 hours/week, every other weekend.
Required Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
Experience:
