Coordinates care of other disciplines, delegates tasks to other nursing staff members, supervises care and evaluates results. Maintains competence in clinical practice and assists in the development of nursing practice standards through participation in professional committees and organizations.
Requirements:
The Registered Nurse requires a license to practice in New York State. The Registered Nurse is expected to complete a variable orientation, duration of 4-6 weeks. Ambulatory experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- The RN will complete a patient/family assessment using subjective and objective data sources.
- Develop a NCP based on patient assessment. Particular attention is given to developmental stages of the patient/family.
- Deliver a patient care-based Nursing Care Plan.
- Evaluate patient care.
- Effectively communicate the patient's plan of care to all members of the health care team.
- Provide patient education focusing on wellness health maintenance and restoration.
- Assume responsibility for education and self-development.
- Adheres to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Exposure Control Manual regarding universal precautions, blood-borne pathogen, disposal of needles, syringes and sharps, cleanup procedures for blood and bold fluid spills, storage, handling and disposal of medical waste.
- Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is utilized when performing a task or responsibility associated with this position, which represents a potential occupational risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
Appropriate PPE's shall include but not be limited to gloves, gown, goggles, laboratory coat, face shields or masks. Salary Range:
$29.44-$44.16 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
