The IVF Nurse Coordinator (RN) is responsible for providing individualized nursing care to Buffalo IVF's fertility patients. This position works closely with the physicians to coordinate care, treatement, cycles, testing procedures, and review of medication protocols with patients. They will also assist in procedures such as egg retrievals and embryo transfers, The successful candidate must be well organized, detail oriented, self motivated, possess great bedside manner and communication skills. The IVF Nurse Coordinator is expected to function independently in the role as well as in a team environment, seeking assistance from the physicians, manager and team members as needed.

Requirements:

Associates Degree, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing. Current State Registered Nurse License without limitations. Current BCLS. Fulltime position 8 or 10 hour workdays with weekend and holiday rotation. Well organized, proven multitasking skills and demonstrate a self-directed work ethic. Good Communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and possess willingness to perform duties that are assigned or delegated. Courteous, compassionate and respectfull. Display a positive attitude and flexibility in changing situations.

Functions:

Review medical records for each patient after consult. Collaborate with the physician in develping and implementing a treatment plan appropriately for each patient. Coordinate and schedule IVF cycles including patient education and diagnostic testing. Answer patient questions regarding cycles, calendars, medications, and/or test results via portal or phone conversations. Follow up with patient after daily monitoring. Documentation of patient interaction in EMR. Responsible to assure all testing and consents are accurate, complete and appropriate. Provide compassion and emotional support to patient throughout their infertility experience. Assist physician in clinic or procedure area with diagnostic tests and procedures. Admission and recovery of patients after conscious sedation.
