$75 - $95/hour Compensation based on experience. Position Overview A healthcare facility in Syracuse, New York is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong oncology background for a contract assignment. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with attending physicians to provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver high-quality patient-centered care in an acute care setting. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and develop individualized plans of care Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress accurately and timely within the medical record Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care Utilize prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and physician collaboration Deliver patient care functions independently with minimal orientation and supervision Support oncology patient care management and treatment coordination Qualifications Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License and registration required NP specialty certification consistent with area of practice required Possession of Medicare NP number or eligibility to apply required Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required Current ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance required Experience & Skills Minimum 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience required Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred Oncology experience heavily preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare environment For more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
