Job Summary:
The professional float nurse will perform and coordinate nursing care to patients in multiple specialized units requiring advanced knowledge and skills. The incumbent will make independent decisions regarding complex patient care problems which involve the analysis of multiple sources of data, identification of alternative health care possibilities and the selection of a course of treatment action. The professional float nurse exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience in an acute care specialty area.
