36 Hours Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases. The ideal candidate will have strong L&D experience, Epic/Stork proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced obstetrical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections Provide newborn assessments and immediate post-delivery care Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, pediatric teams, and interdisciplinary staff Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using Epic/Stork Unit Details 18-Bed Unit 3 Triage Beds 2 Antepartum Beds 2 ORs for C-Sections 3 Recovery Beds 8Labor & Delivery Beds RN-to-Patient Ratio:
1:1 to 1:2 Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Qualifications 4-5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Experience with: Antepartum Care Intrapartum Care Postpartum Care Newborn Care Gynecology Patients Epic/Stork experience required Previous travel nursing experience preferred Strong fetal monitoring and critical thinking skills Floating Requirements Must be willing to float to: Mother/Baby Unit Pediatrics Other adult units as helping hands when outside scope of practice Education Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program Benefits Competitive weekly pay Housing stipend or assistance Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Life insurance Supportive and responsive staffing team Why Utica, NY?
