Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical and surgical history related to cardiovascular health, medication review, allergies, and relevant lab results Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) access (antecubital or above) for contrast administration Administer medications, including nitroglycerin and oral beta blockers or calcium channel blockers, to achieve optimal heart rate for imaging Continuously monitor patient vital signs and response throughout the procedure Identify and respond promptly to adverse reactions, including complications from contrast media Educate patients on procedure expectations, preparation, potential risks, and postprocedure care Collaborate closely with cardiologists, CT technologists, and interdisciplinary team members Accurately document assessments, interventions, and medications in the electronic medical record (
EMR Position Qualifications Minimum Required:
?Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. At least one year experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting. Current NY State RN license. Documentation of current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days employment.
Preferred:
Previous experience in an outpatient setting. Bachelors degree Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients. The office is air conditioned as well as heated. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. Fastpaced environment including frequent interruptions. Frequent sitting, walking, standing and bending. Possibility of lifting of patients. Mobility may include access through a multilevel facility, including climbing stairs. PPE Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, Gloves per UHS Infection Control and CDC guidelines when appropriate.
