This role involves providing perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room during 12-hour night shifts. The OR RN will assist with surgical procedures, monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, maintain a sterile and safe environment, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The position also requires on-call availability and documentation of care in Meditech. Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, ensuring a safe and sterile surgical environment. Assess patients, monitor their condition throughout procedures, collaborate with the surgical team, document care in Meditech, and respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes, prioritize and delegate tasks as needed, respond to emergencies, and participate in on-call coverage while adhering to patient safety and infection control standards. Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Minimum 2+ years of recent Operating Room (OR) RN experience required Current BLS certification required Experience with

MEDITECH EMR

required Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and aseptic technique Ability to provide safe, high-quality patient care in a surgical setting Experience with patient assessment including clinical, emotional, and spiritual needs Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and stress management skills Ability to recognize and respond to safety issues and use patient lifting/mobility equipment safely Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required. #perdiem
