  • 7:15 AM | 2 shifts/week | Alternate weekends & holidays required Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and collaborates with patients, families, physicians, peers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in delivering exceptional healthcare services.
The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes according to hospital policies, nursing standards, and evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, leadership capabilities, professional accountability, and a commitment to high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced CTICU environment. Essential Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify clinical needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams. Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changing conditions. Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions safely. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Provide education and support to patients and families. Demonstrate leadership skills and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain professional accountability and ongoing clinical development. Education Requirements Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Required Current New York Registered Nurse License/Registration
  • Required Required Certifications BLS Certification
  • American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Certification
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Additional Certification Requirements (Role/Department Based) PALS Certification NRP Certification Oncology certifications accepted include but are not limited to: AOCNP® AOCNS® AOCN® BMTCN® CPHON® CPON® CBCN® OCN® OR Completion of 36 cancer-related continuing education nursing contact hours every 3 years Additional Requirements FLU Vaccine Required
  • No Exceptions Knowledge of current nursing practices, medical trends, and healthcare standards.
Emergency Department nurses must complete de-escalation training within one year of hire . Successful completion of department and unit orientation program. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred Strong critical thinking and communication skills Ability to thrive in a high-acuity clinical setting Experience working in ICU or critical care environments preferred Important Candidate Considerations White Plains Hospital maintains a highly selective hiring process and seeks clinically strong candidates who are also a strong behavioral and cultural fit.
